Polybius Description. This game was out for a very short trial run of one month in small arcades in Portland Oregon in 1981. Produced by the company. A dull, digital glow bounced off the faces of teenagers who were immersed in playing the game of Polybius. Tiny lines and dots danced or exploded with high-pitched beeps across the faces of the players. These made them nauseous, stressed and suffered from horrific nightmares.
