First Impressions on New World EmpiresBytro Labs (, ) have just put their newest browser based strategy game, into closed beta. Gearing up for an open beta/soft release very soon, we got the chance to check out the game to see what was on offer. Yeah,I am through with this piece of shit game!I have gotten on the last two night to find I have magically lost multiple provinces to either no one or to other civ.s I am not at war with or anything.today in just a matter of two hours I had one of my provinces suddenly belong to another civ!!That is impossible!I was not at war with them.they did not attack me and take it.and If I just lost it somehow,it would have taken them more time than that to establish a new colony there!This game is a complete joke!. Ignore the negative comments above, they made by people who aren’t use to the long time frame that Btyro games take.
Games like this developed by Btyro take between 30-90 day real time. It’s for the gamer that logs in twice a day (or more) spents 15-30 minutes sending out commands and seeing the results last login commandsof then logs off. If you like your games shorter, this is not the game for you.For those that are Btyro game fans (and those that are still interested) this game plays out very similiar to Call of War. Combat, movement, and research is very similiar though it looks like they have added some new features to both. They also added a explorer feature and may prove a interesting addition, which allows you to explore and colonize untamed wilderness along your borders. Gold as before gives you a huge advantage if you choose to use it.
Here is some advice for beginners:1) Look at your position and who around you is a player and who is run by the AI. DO NOT attack a player first - if they are reasonably intelligent and ruthless they will either conquer you or so severely damage you that you will be behind because you will have virtually no army left. I did not read it as good as Ithough as Ithought.
