Hello all,I am contemplating doing a roster project for the 2020-2021 college season, which would obviously be amazing to start now and would make a complete roster available for the beginning of the season.I had previously done the 2015-2016 PS3 roster project essentially from scratch. It took forever, but it was actually a ton of fun, kept the roster building alive into 2016-2017, and most of all allowed me to have some fun dynasties that year.I was in college back then, so naturally had a boatload of free time in the summer, and I am working now (and working a lot). But I think I could get going on these now and spread it more evenly throughout the Summer/Fall.I sold my PS3 a while back, and now am going to purchase either a PS3 or Xbox 360.Does anyone have any input into which console would be more popular for 2k8? Want to make sure I’m doing a project that is most beneficial to the maximum number of people possible and also give people a headstart to get that console before October/November 2020.One reason I would potentially suggest PS3 is because Brock did a phenomenal job of updating the rosters/coaches using Hex editing and I don’t know if there would be a reliable Hex editor nowadays.Let me hear your thoughts! Also we should do something to start promoting this game again!.

Ok so I have bought a PS3, mostly becauseA) I already have 2k8 for PS3 an it’s surprisingly expensive onlineB) PS3 has a bigger needC) I am going to use the HEX-edited 2015-2016 rosters as my base, and take out any “legendary players” (think Jamal Murray, Melo Trimble, etc.) out and leave them as FAs. Figured it’d be cool if people could have some older players in the game. Coaches will be updated as of 2015-2016. I am going to reach out to Brock and see if he would either Hex edit the 2020-2021 rosters or offer advice on how to do it.I got the PS3 for 60 bucks.

College Hoops 2k8 XBOX 360 Rosters

Here are instructions on how to transfer a .z36 file from your PC to your memory card using the 360 exchange software.

Save the file to a folder on your PC that you already have created for your 360 exchange software. If you do not already have a folder for this just save the file somewhere you will remember where it is.

With your memory card inserted into the cable supplied with your kit and that cable plugged into an USB port on your PC, open your 360 exchange from your desktop.

In the Xchange 360 software click on the OPTIONS tab.

If you have done this before the folder you normally use will be there, if not you have to search for the folder you saved the file to. Once you have found that folder click “OK”.

Once you do that – you will then click on the HARD DRIVE tab and you should see on the right the name “2K8 Hoops1.z36”

Click on that

Make sure your memory card is inserted.

Click on “TO MEM” and wait for the file to copy over.

When done take the memory card to your 360 and turn it on. Don’t go into 2K8 quite yet.

Copy the file from your 360 memory card over to your 360 hard disk.
YOU MUST DISCONNECT FROM XBOX LIVE IF YOU HAVE IT!! Due to people stealing to get higher achievement points Microsoft corrupts ANY file that is shared from now on. Once we rename the file under your profile we are safe, but not until then.

Start up 2K8.

Go into rosters area and load them up (Most will just auto-load).
